UNIVERSAL PHONE SERVICES:  Terms and Conditions of Assessment and Repair

Our repairs come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law and you’re subject to these Terms and Conditions below.

 

QUOTATION/REPAIR PROCESS: All Quotations are free of charge and generally take between 24 to 48 hours, though in some instances it may take longer. In some instances jobs may need to be requoted.

 

The goods are tendered for service and are left at the customer’s own risk. We understand the urgency with which you require the service to be completed so we will endeavour to complete the service as soon as possible. However, jobs may vary from the estimated time of completion depending on part availability or other constraints.

 

The customer takes full responsibility of any manufacturer warranty that may or may not be voided whilst the phone is being serviced by Universal Phone Services.

 

Please make sure that you have removed your sim card and/or memory card and any other accessories from your phone that are not related to your repair. Universal Phone Services does not accept responsibility for loss of these items.

 

WARRANTY: Universal Phone Services warranty applies when the exact same fault occurs or the replaced component fails within 90 days of receipt of repair, with the exception of liquid damaged phones and non-genuine parts or supplied parts.

 

THE WARRANTY IS VOID: if after receipt of repair if the Universal Phone Services repair warranty label is tampered in any way whatsoever, if any other party attempts repairs on the phone, or if the phone has been physically/liquid damaged. In such instances Universal Phone Services reserve the right to charge a $30 administration fee unless a further repair is requested.

 

LIQUID DAMAGE: Phones which are faulty due to liquid ingress will have only 30 days warranty. This covers the specific component replaced or work done. There is no warranty for the failure of any additional components at a later stage. Furthermore, due to possible progressive corrosion, Universal Phone Services does not accept responsibility for any further faults which may have occurred during the time between the quotation and the commencement of repairs.

 

NON GENUINE PARTS: Phones which are requested to fit an aftermarket or non-genuine parts will have only 14 days warran- ty on the specific component replaced or work done. There is no warranty for the failure of any additional components at a later stage.

 

COSMETIC REPAIRS: (eg. housing, cover, casing, lens, software..) will have no warranty provided.

 

UNLOCKING: When phones are being unlocked, no responsibility is taken for other functions of the phone that aren’t working. There is no warranty on unlocking. We guarantee that the phone will be unlocked; everything else is the responsibility of the customer. For iPhones unlocked by software patches, please DO NOT re-software/update software/ restore software, it will lock back to original network and you will be charged full price to unlock the device again.

 

SUPPLIED PARTS: Universal Phone Services does not provide any warranty for any spare parts supplied by the customer. Labour charges may apply to the removal of any faulty parts which have not been supplied by Universal Phone Services . There is no warranty for the failure of any additional components at a later stage.

SETTINGS AND DATA: Phones may lose somUenorivalel orfsthaelusPerhsooftnweareSseettirnvgiscanedsuser generated data in the phone during the process of assessment, and repair. This is generally not recoverable. Universal Phone Services does not accept responsibility for such loss.

 

CANCELLATION: Labour charges may also applied for any cancellation or reversals of repairs after confirmation to proceed with repair is given. However in In the event of an unsuccessful repair, there will be no charge incurred.

 

After the completion of your repair (successful or unsuccessful) If you DON’T collect and pay for your Unit/Equipment within 45 days of the completed date shown on this form, we will consider your product abandoned and will exercise our rights under consumer law to dispose or sell to recover the repair cost.
